It reports to the Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food and Secretary for the Environment, Transport and Works (Secretary for Economic Services before 2001). Plans have been erected to restructure this department together with the Food and Environmental Efficiency Department (FEED). The department will take on the environmental hygiene responsibility form the FEED, and will be renamed Agriculture, Fisheries, Environmental Efficiency and Conservation Department. ==Director== The department is headed by the ''Director of Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation'' (titled ''Director of Agriculture and Fisheries'' before 2000).
